Livieratos Evangelos

Evangelos Livieratos (1948) is Emeritus Professor of AUTH. In 1979 he was elected by the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as Full Professor of the Chair of Advanced Geodesy and Cartography of the Department of Agronomists and Topographical Engineers, where he served for 36 years, until August 31, 2015, as a member of the Department of Geodesy and Topography and the Department of Cadastre, Photogrammetry and Cartography. He was elected President, with four terms, of the Commission 'Cartographic Heritage in Digitality ' of the International Cartographic Union (2015-2019). Since 2006 founder and editor of the international online journal e-Perimetron for the sciences and technologies related to the history of cartography and maps. Member of CartoGeoLab AUTH – Cartography & Geographic Analysis Laboratory and of Advisory Committee “Geodesia” of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences. He is a Fellow of the International Union of Geodesy (1999) and an Honorary Fellow of the International Cartographic Union (2019).
