Sevastiadis Christos

Dr. Christos Sevastiadis was born in Thessaloniki, on July 20, 1973. He completed his studies at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, of the Polytechnic School, of the Democratic University of Thrace (D.P.T.H.) and received a diploma in Electrical Engineering, majoring in Telecommunications , Information and Digital Signal Processing in 1997. His thesis was awarded the "Ericsson Award of Excellence in Telecommunications", by Ericsson Hellas S.A., in 1998. He completed his PhD in Electroacoustics at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Polytechnic School , of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.P.Th.), in 2011. He worked as an instructor for professional training (I.E.K.), as a part-time teacher at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (A.P.Th.) , as a part-time lecturer in the Department of Journalism and Mass Media (A.P.Th.), as a freelancer in IT projects and in the management of research programs, as an acoustics consultant in private construction projects, as an electrical engineer in the supervision of the operation of electromechanical installations and in the supervision of public construction projects (A.P.Th.). Since 2014, he has been working as a laboratory teacher (E.D.I.P.) at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (A.P.Th.) in the courses of Electroacoustics I, Electroacoustics II, Measurement Systems, Electrical Measurements I, Introduction to Electrical Systems of Energy I, Introduction to Electrical Energy Systems II, Differential Equations, and Applied Mathematics I. Since 2017, he has also been teaching in the Interdepartmental Master's Program "Protection, maintenance and restoration of cultural monuments" of A.U.Th. Christos focuses on computational analysis of closed and open acoustic fields (Finite Element Method, Finite Difference Time Domain Method), electroacoustics, building acoustics and noise measurements, analysis, design and construction of sound sources for acoustic measurements and use of numerical computing, computer algebra systems and programming languages in teaching.
