Doctoral thesis in the subject area: Photogrammetry, ATM Department, Polytechnic School, AUTH, 2013. Topic: "Long-term study of the geometric and geographical characteristics of the refugee settlements in the prefecture of Thessaloniki using photogrammetric and cartographic methods with the aim of their spatial documentation and classification"

Research Interests:

His research interests are focused on theoretical and methodological issues related to modern methods of measurement and recording, representations, documentation, data management, dissemination of information about Cultural Heritage. He has participated as a member of a Research team in 15 Research programs that have been funded by National or European bodies.

Publications:

His research and studies have been published in peer-reviewed volumes, national and international conference proceedings, and post-crisis journals. The total published work includes one (1) Dissertation and twenty-five (25) published scientific papers.

Teaching project:

For a number of years, he has taught courses on Morphology and Rhythmology, Graphic Illustrations and Representations of Three-Dimensional Space, at the Department of Architectural Engineering of the Polytechnic School of the Democritus University of Thrace, Perspective and Shadowing at the Department of Visual and Applied Arts of the School of Fine Arts of the University of Western Macedonia, Three-D digital applications and Digital technologies in culture at the Department of Digital Media & Communication of the University of Western Macedonia. He has also taught Photogrammetry and Cultural Resource Documentation Systems, at the Department of Topography & Geoinformatics Engineering of the International University of Greece and at the Department of Agronomists and Topographical Engineering of the Polytechnic School of Athens.

Finally, he has taught as an external collaborator in the course Photogrammetry, 3D scanning technology and Spatial Information Systems of the Interdepartmental Master's Program 'Protection, Maintenance and Restoration of Cultural Monuments' of the Polytechnic School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and in the course Imagery of buildings and urban space with advanced tools in Postgraduate Program "Interventions in existing buildings and urban ensembles: reinforcements, reuse and spatial renewals" of the Department of Civil Engineering and Topography and Geoinformatics of the International University of Greece.
